Macro module and XML import
Open the modules section and install Macro if it is missing. Enter the macro module, choose Import, and select the .xml file. After loading, the recording moves to the connected mouse's settings.
Button assignment
Select a mouse button, choose the Macro action, and select the imported file. To use the left button, the demonstrated interface first moves the ordinary left click to another button, such as the wheel click. You can instead use an available side button and keep normal left-click behavior.
Playback mode
The speaker selects playback while the assigned key is held and saves the setting. Holding the chosen button then runs the macro. To restore its standard function, select the default action in that button's settings.
Switching profiles to enable or disable
The next part creates a second profile without a macro assignment. Profile switching is assigned to the wheel click, allowing a switch between the macro profile and ordinary controls. Menu names can differ between Synapse versions; the detailed guide covers Synapse 3 and 4.
